Dean Barnshaw is the Head of Service and joined the charity in November 2016 to lead on the development of the new Shared Lives scheme.
A qualified social worker with an interest in community cohesion, Dean has worked in a variety of social care settings for over 20 years and has been involved in the Shared Lives sector since 2006.
As an HM Forces veteran and a married father of two teenage boys, Dean is very keen on sports and fitness, so can be often found circuit training, playing cricket, entering triathlons and more recently, boxing. He is also an avid supporter of Sunderland football club.
